Getting Ready for Baby...

We had our 24-week doctor's appointment yesterday and found out the results from our last ultrasound. Yes, we had to wait a month to find out! She looks to be developing into a perfect, healthy baby girl! We are so thankful that there weren't any possible life threatening complications. Truly blessed.

Over the past couple weeks, I have come to the realization that I should get cracking on the baby nursery. This pregnancy is going so fast; I'm already 6 months! So, over Thanksgiving weekend my mom, grandma and I knocked down the baby registry to-do and I took advantage of the cyber Monday deals and ordered a crib, changing table, etc.

I'm loving the Sweet Songs nursery theme from Carter's paired with white furniture....I hope once I see everything in person, I'll be able to decide on a paint color...then it's just the matter of cleaning out our 2nd bedroom and officially making it into a nursery! Lots of work ahead!

Babymoon: South Beach, Miami & The Bahamas

We just got back from our babymoon (South Beach, Miami & The Bahamas). The first night was awful on the ship. We hit rough waters and it was impossible to walk without grabbing onto something for dear life. That, and my sea bands didn't work any miracles like I thought they would. Besides that first night, we had a good time. A 3-night cruise is just long enough for a first-timer I think. If we were to do it again, I think we'd be a little more picky on the cruise line and ship....and be more mindful of all of the ridiculous prices/fees that are charged (seriously, $10 for a drink?). OR, skip a cruise altogether and just do an all-inclusive.

A Knadle Wedding

Yesterday I participated in the most beautiful wedding ever! One of my best friends from college got hitched. I really wish I took more pictures (sigh). I told Sam to get some pictures at the reception, but he was too busy enjoying his Bloody Mary, or maybe his Rum & Coke, or was it his beer?! Ha! I can't wait to see the photographer pictures. Both of the girls were about 7 months pregnant and I couldn't believe the angles they were shooting from. They were rolling on the ground or climbing on top of tables. I'll have to link to them once they are posted.

(I'm 5 months pregnant in these pictures. One of the pictures really shows the bump - could be the angle but wow, it's crazy!)

Halloween

Time flies. I can't believe it's already November. Thanksgiving is just around the corner! We had a great Halloween - friends came over on that Saturday for food/drinks/movie. I completely forgot to take pictures of our delicious spread. Terrible me. We did get a picture of our pumpkins though. Not too shabby considering we didn't have stencils to work off of. And why yes, my pumpkin is sporting a fantastic mustache.

Girls Day Out

I spent the day with the girls in my fam - Grandma, Mom, and Taylor. We ventured out to the Forest Lake Wildlife Center. All of their animals are injured in some way, so this is a place for them to rehabilitate and live peacefully...well relatively so.

As a kid, I had a slight obsession with wolves. I think my room was filled over 60% with wolf merchandise and I am pretty sure I owned one of those sweet 'wolf howling at the moon' t-shirts. Oh yes, seeing all of these wolves reminded me of those fonder days.

To top the day, we went to the Pine Tree Apple Orchard. I love love love this place. There is something about the smell of apples and spices that subsciously tells me to buy buy buy. I spent $25 on apple stuff, but seriously, how could I turn down those apples, apple donuts, apple cookies, and caramel dip?! Being pregnant and hungry all of the time certainly doesn't help matters.

A Beautiful Day

Autumn is definitely here. Sam and I took advantage of this beautiful day to walk around Afton State Park. The pups were a little crazy, as usual, but I think they enjoyed it too; they are now sprawled out on the couch, fast asleep.
